eNdgame is the long-awaited follow-up album for the Canadian industrial side project Cyberaktif. Cyberaktif was a one-time project in 1990 funded by Wax Trax! Records to reunite cEvin Key with his former Skinny Puppy bandmate, Front Line Assembly’s Bill Leeb. For the album Tenebrae Vision, the duo worked with Skinny Puppy member Dwayne Goettel, and Leeb used his Skinny Puppy stage name, Wilheim Schroeder.
Despite being a one-off album, Front Line Assembly and Skinny Puppy fans continued to express an interest in a follow-up album, especially after Front Line Assembly supported Skinny Puppy on their Eye vs. Spy tour in 2014. As Key and Leeb continued to stay busy during the pandemic with their own projects, the duo decided to reactivate the project and work on an album together, this time with Front Line Assembly’s Rhys Fulber taking the place of the late Dwayne Goettel. But is it a worthy album? Let’s dig in.
