Garbage's "Witness To Your Love" EP is now available as part of Record Store Day 2023. Released on April 22, 2023, this exclusive EP is produced by BMG and includes rare and unreleased tracks. For the first time on vinyl, fans can enjoy the 2008 track "Witness To Your Love," as well as a cover of Siouxsie & The Banshees' "Cities In Dust" and more. The EP features four songs, including two previously unreleased tracks from the "No Gods, No Masters" sessions. Pressed on transparent red vinyl, this limited edition release has just 1,600 copies. What Worked
After the return to form on 2021's No Gods, No Monsters, Garbage continues the winning streak on this bite-sized release. The opening track, "Witness to Your Love" is a solid start, recalling the ageless cool vocals of Shirley Manson's 90s hit performances on this previously unreleased rarity. The cover of Siouxsie & The Banshees' "Cities in Dust" puts a slightly noisier spin on the track that pairs nicely with "Blue Betty" and "Adam and Eve," leftover from the previous album sessions. Neither track is a clunker, a testimony to the strength of the sessions for their previous release.
What Didn't Work
This is a nice bite-sized follow-up to their previous record. Of course, there is always a desire for more material, but this will have to do for the time being.
