Just an FYI....the main riff to Machine Gun is almost note for note the main riff from the song Heartshine by Mother Love Bone which was released 2 years prior to the Warrant album.
Regardless...Dog Eat Dog is a strong album top to bottom
WOW. I'm a Mother Love Bone fan, had that CD when it came out, loved it (and love it to this day) and never even thought about the connection. I totally hear it, even the way it starts. Thanks for the comment, really opened my eyes and ears.
wow, I’m just realizing that is a very Stone Gossardish riff. The tone is makes it a little more metal and cuts back on the MLB groove but you’re right it’s there.
Absolutely...totally a Stone Gossard groove but the Warrant guitar tone has just a hint of that more compressed "metal" sound to it but the riff is almost note for note. I'll have to play them side and see if they are in the same key. Both great songs but as soon as you hear it...its like Whoa...thats the same riff.
