Best known as the drummer for Semisonic, Jacob is also a songwriter, arranger, and producer. His memoir So You Wanna Be a Rock & Roll Star was released in 2004, and has also written for the New York Times and been a commentator for NPR's Morning Edition. He currently teaches creative writing as an adjunct professor in the MFA program at Sarah Lawrence.
